Jason Field
Jason has over 15 years of martial arts experience. Prior to moving to Colorado, Jason trained and taught in Los Angeles, Ca. A diligent student of the martial arts, training daily in Taekwondo, Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Jason holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo, a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu and is a ten-year veteran of professional kickboxing. In 2006 Jason starred in the mixed martial art feature film “Maximum Cage Fighting”. Filming took place in Brazil and Los Angeles. In 2005 Jason partnered with head jiu-jitsu instructor Carlos Carvalho to create the local Vail Competition Team. Since then they have built a strong reputation within the sport fighting community, having coached well known fighters such as Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Leonard Garcia, and Bobby Hermasillo. Most recently Jason has enjoyed coaching in three Championship fights, and just hosted Inyodo’s 5th Athletic Boxing Commissioned MMA event here in Vail, Colorado. Continuing his interest in mixed martial arts, Jason has been a television commentator for the mixed martial art league “Ring of Fire”. Outside of competitive martial arts, Jason can be found at the studio teaching classes or stretching on the mat. Jason says training is not so much about the belt you wear but the mindset you obtain, the discipline you command, and the respect that you give.
