Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the premier ground-fighting martial art. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a patient art form where an inch is often the difference between success and failure. There is a heavy emphasis on positional strategy – ie. guard, half-guard, side control, north /south and mount. Positions are stable situations from which a large variety of techniques / submissions are available. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fundamental art form that can be compared to a game of chess with the use of the entire body.
